Women’s Health West has developed a whole-of-organisation Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to ensure we are working to close the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children and their communities in Melbourne’s west.
Our reconciliation work began in November 2014 with the subsequent implementation of a foundational plan. The aim of this initial plan was to lay the foundations for respectful, reciprocal relationships with our local Aboriginal communities, by generating the conditions and self-reflection required within our organisation and our internal processes to work towards reconciliation.
