Women’s Health West strives to work within a feminist framework to redress the gender and structural inequities that limit the lives of women and girls. Using the feminist audit toolkit, we are regularly examining whether our practices and behaviours are truly reflective of a feminist organisation and whether we have a shared understanding of what it is to be a feminist organisation.
Recently, the feminist audit has focussed on defining clear decision-making processes that are consultative, respectful and encourage opposing staff perspectives – an action arising from our People and Culture plan. This is the finalised decision-making tool that we will use to support this process.
The decision-making tool may be useful to other organisations and practitioners that seek to ensure decisions within their organisations are made in a consultative, respectful and transparent way.
