Family Violence Case Manager – Outreach

The role of the Family Violence Case Manager – Outreach is to work with women and children within  the western metropolitan region to develop safety strategies and case plans that include housing, legal, health and other assistance to support their long-term safety via a strength based and client-focused case application.

The successful applicant will be required to exercise the following practices:

  • Provide short and medium-term case management support to women and their children experiencing family violence in accordance with WHW policies and procedures.
  • Participate in effective delivery of family violence outreach case management services by undertaking and completing administration, reporting and data collection
  • Work closely with internal and external providers and stakeholders to ensure client needs are being met.
  • Work within and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and respect, working with the integrated family violence services stream to achieve WHW’s vision of equity and justice for women in the west.

Position Description: Case Manager – Outreach


Senior Case Manager– RAMP

  • Part-time (0.8 – 1 EFT), ongoing
  • WHW EA 2017 Level 5, pay point negotiable

The Risk Assessment Management Panel (RAMP) program is a state government initiative designed to improve collaborative responses and information sharing to prevent serious threats to health, safety or welfare of women and their children as a result of family violence. The RAMP senior case manager is responsible for providing short-term crisis case management to women and their children who have been referred to the RAMP program. This role is responsible for the following duties:

  • Undertaking comprehensive risk assessment for women accessing the RAMP program and develop immediate safety plans in collaboration with clients
  • Coordinating all aspects of short-term case management including risk assessment, case planning, case review and case closure
  • Work closely with external services to develop the capacity of the responses to women experiencing or escaping from family violence

The role reports the RAMP / Flexible Support Packages Team Leader. The role is paid at WHW EA 2017 Level 5 pay point negotiable (74K to 78K per annum pro rata).

Team Leader – Family Violence First Response

The Family Violence First Response team leader is a member of the IFVS leadership team and is responsible for providing daily leadership, management and coordination of the exciting new family violence first response program. Their position will include the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to ensure collaboration and integration across and between WHW programs and services to achieve organisational goals and objectives
  • Coordinate the effective delivery of the family violence first response program at Women’s Health West which includes responding to L17, intake, after hours response and court support referrals
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key community and agency partners to contribute to positive client outcomes and enhanced program delivery.

The role reports to the Family Violence First Response manager. The role is paid at WHW EA 2017 Level 6 pay point negotiable (81K to 84K per annum).

Health Promotion Project Coordinator – Preventing Violence Together

  • Permanent 0.8 EFT (flexible up to full-time in first year of employment)

The Preventing Violence Together Health Promotion Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of projects and strategies as part of Preventing Violence Together 2030: Western Region Strategy to Prevent Violence Against Women. This is achieved by implementing primary prevention projects, collaborative partnerships and activities designed to build gender equity and respond to the drivers of violence against women.

This position reports to the Preventing Violence Together team leader and is a member of WHW’s strategy, advocacy and engagement stream.

This is an ongoing, part time position at 0.8 EFT (flexible up to full-time in the first year of employment). The role is paid at WHW EA Level 5. Pay point depends on experience (ranging from $74,000 to $79,000) + 9.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing.
