Women enthusiastic about women's health in the west of Melbourne gathered to talk about the last twenty-one years of work on 5 March 2009. Key to the Future: Unlocking 21 Years of Women's Stories was an International Women's Day lunchtime forum that invited women who have worked at, or in partnership with, Women's Health West (WHW) during that time.
International Women's Day 2009
Witty MC Nelly Thomas, steered the conversation through the moving anecdotes and reminiscences of panellists and participants alike. Women told their stories through interactive workshops that ranged from creative writing to talking about objects of significance to them and WHW. Show and tell workshop
Stories were collated with archival material, statistics and interviews to create a book outlining the history of WHW titled REtroSPECT that was launched at our Annual General Meeting party in November 2009.
