The Sunrise Women with Disabilities Groups provide fun and friendship for women with a disability through the outer West of Melbourne. The groups meet monthly in Werribee and Laverton and are Women's Health West's longest running program.
Come and have fun, meet new women and learn some new skills.
The groups meet from 10.30am-1.30pm. Morning tea is provided at both groups and attendant care is available for all activities. Women's Health West is currently able to provide limited assistance with transport to and from Sunrise Women's Group activities where necessary.
All women with disabilities in Werribee and the outer west are welcome to attend, celebrate life and meet some like-minded women.

This fact sheet outlines Women's Health West's model of working effectively with women with a range of disabilities and is aimed at service providers and the general community, such as GPs, nurses, community health workers and teachers. We hope that this successful model will be taken up by service providers in other areas.
You can download the fact sheet" Working effectively with women with a range of disabilities "(pdf 261 KB) and if you'd like any further information please contact Lindy Corbett on Wednesday or Friday on 03 9689 9588 or email lindy@whwest.org.au
