Board Members 2008

Our board is a key link between the organisation and the community we serve. The nine members of the board are drawn from and elected by our individual and organisational members – the community and sector in which we work.

Lisa Field - Chair

Lisa is the Client Services Officer at Gateway Social Support Options and volunteers on the South Kingsville Community Centre's committee of management.

Georgie Hill - Deputy Chair

Georgie is passionate about equality and social justice and committed to the prevention of violence against women in the western region.

Ruth Marshall

Ruth Marshall is a fully qualified chartered management accountant. She is currently employed as a Senior Business Analyst for the Western Health Service.

Gainore Atkins

Gainore is familiar with the difficulties facing the region's sole parents through work at Centrelink and the Job Network. She is a St Vincent De Paul Soup Van volunteer.

Michelle Towstoless

Head of the School of Biomedical Sciences at Victoria University, Michelle has a PhD in Physiology. She has also taught and researched overseas.

Megan Bumpstead

Operations Manager for the Division of Surgery at Western Health, Meg is also studying a Master of Business Administration.

Naomi Raab

As both consultant and researcher, Naomi is interested the nature of gender dynamics in organisations and continues to run a long standing women's group.

Karen Passey

Karen moved from the hospital sector to local government as director of community services. She is currently CEO at SIDS and Kids Victoria.

Selvi Kannan

Prior to joining academia, Selvi worked in senior corporate management with a specific interest in organisational analysis, strategic growth and partnerships.
